In short
Prepero remembers birthdays and gift ideas. That means storing some information about you — and about the people you buy gifts for. We do not sell it, we do not use it for advertising, and there is no tracking in the app. You can delete all of it in one tap.
Who is responsible
The data controller is Brandon Bondig, Danmark. Write to kontakt@prepero.app about anything concerning your data.
What we store
Your account:
- Email address and password (stored only as a cryptographic hash, never in plain text).
- Username, display name, and a profile picture if you add one.
- Your birthday, so your friends can see it.
- Your preferences: language, first day of the week, and whether Christmas falls on the 24th or 25th.
What you enter into the app:
- Contacts: name, birthday, relationship, your notes, and any sizes.
- Gift ideas: title, price, links, status, and occasion.
- Budgets, wishlists, and gifts received.
- Friendships and friend requests.
Information about other people
This part is worth reading twice. When you create a contact, you are storing information about someone who has not signed up — usually their name and birthday, and possibly clothing sizes or your private notes about them.
You decide what you enter, and you are responsible for keeping it reasonable. Do not put sensitive information about others in your notes. That information is visible only to you: no other user can see your contacts, your notes, or your gift ideas. If someone asks to be removed from your list, you can do it in the app, or write to kontakt@prepero.app.
What your friends can see
Once you are friends in the app, they can see your display name, username, profile picture, birthday, your own wishlists, your own sizes, and your own profile note. That is all.
Your gift ideas are never shared — not even the ideas for the friend whose profile you are looking at. That is the whole point of the app.
Our legal basis
Account and content data is processed to provide the service you asked for (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). Information about your contacts is processed under Article 6(1)(f): it is necessary for the app to do what it exists to do, and the intrusion is limited because that information is visible only to you.
Who processes it
Prepero runs on Supabase, which provides the database, sign-in, and image storage. Data is held in the EU. Supabase acts as a processor and may only handle the data on our instructions.
There are no analytics tools, no ad networks, and no third-party tracking in the app. We do not sell data to anyone.
How long
We keep your information for as long as you have an account. Delete the account and everything goes at once: contacts, gift ideas, budgets, wishlists, sizes, friendships, and images. It cannot be undone, and we hold no copy afterwards.
You delete your account under Settings in the app. Database backups may contain your data for up to 30 days after deletion, after which they are overwritten.
Your rights
- Access to the information we hold about you.
- Correction of anything that is wrong.
- Erasure — which you can carry out yourself at any time.
- Portability: a copy of your data in a common format.
- Objection to the processing.
Write to kontakt@prepero.app and we will answer within a month. If you are unhappy with the answer, you can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet), Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, 2500 Valby, Denmark.
Children
Prepero is not built for children under 13, and we do not knowingly create accounts for them.
Changes
If we change anything substantive, we will update the date at the top and give notice in the app before it takes effect.
